The judges will select certain outstanding performers in the Junior, Teen and Senior age divisions as All-Stars. All-Stars are invited to perform at one of our two Nationals.
In order to participate as an All-Star, you must register by sending an email to allstars@halloffamedance.com with the following information: name, age, name of your studio, which National event you are attending, and what regional you attended. This must be done by June 1. If you wish to compete at Nationals, you will have to register for the National competition by either registering through your studio or by using our online system. Regardless of whether or not you’re competing, you must register to participate as an All-Star.
At Nationals, All-stars will have the opportunity to take free choreography/convention style to prepare for the opening number of our World Series of Dance Finals, which will take place on the last day of each Nationals. All-Stars should plan on rehearsing every day, and the detailed All-Star rehearsal schedule will be online as soon as the Nationals competition schedule is finalized. Make no mistake, this will be very hard work, but it will be worth it—in the end you will be part of an amazing production!
The costume for the opening number is any white shirt and black jazz pants or skirt. Each All-Star should bring this with them to Nationals. Dancers should also bring all of their dance shoes; the All-Star production will include several dance styles. Most dancers will appear in portions of the dance, and Hall of Fame does not guarantee which section a dancer will dance. Dancers in at least one section of the All-Star dance may be decided by audition; however, each All-Star will participate in at least a portion of the dance.
Dancers invited to perform as All Star or Final Cut performers are chosen as representatives of the studio they were registered with at Regionals. If, at Nationals, the dancer is no longer attending that studio, the dancer cannot participate in the All Star program.
There is no charge to participate. The convention style classes/choreography and performance opportunity is free to all Hall of Fame All-Stars. All-Stars make also take the free master classes that are open to all dancers.
